WadeCV

For recruiters

Free job posting, with a page search engines can list

A job posted on WadeCV gets a page of its own with the structured data Google's job search asks for, a place on the WadeCV job board, and two ways for candidates to apply. Every application arrives in your pipeline as a candidate and is screened against the role's rubric. There is no fee and no limit on postings.

60-second answerUpdated September 2026
Posting a job on WadeCV, in brief
  1. Publishing a job on WadeCV is free and takes a few minutes: pick the hiring role, write the description in plain Markdown, give a location or say it is remote, add a salary if you want, and publish.
  2. The job gets its own page at wadecv.com/job-openings/your-job with schema.org JobPosting structured data, so Google and job aggregators can list it, and a listing on the WadeCV job board and your company page.
  3. Candidates apply on the page with a CV file, or with one click if they keep their CV on WadeCV. Every application lands in your pipeline as a candidate and is screened against the role's rubric within minutes.
  4. When you close the job its page answers HTTP 410 (gone) rather than 404 or a stale 200, which is what search engines need to stop advertising it. You can reopen it later at the same address.
  5. You pay nothing to post, list or receive applications. Screening an application costs one credit, the same as an upload, and an applicant is never turned away because your balance is empty.

From draft to closed

  1. 1

    Choose the role

A posting advertises a hiring role you have already set up, so the rubric that will score applicants exists before the first one arrives.

  2. 2

    Write it

Title, description in Markdown with a live preview, employment type, on-site or hybrid or remote, and an optional salary range. What search engines require is required at save time, so a posting can never go live incomplete.

  3. 3

    Publish

The page goes up at once, the job board and your company page update, and the URL is submitted to search engines through IndexNow. The URL never changes after this.

  4. 4

    Receive applications

Each one becomes a candidate in the first stage of your pipeline, marked as waiting to be screened, with the applicant's name and email exactly as they typed them. Whoever wrote the posting gets an email.

  5. 5

    Close it

The page says the job is no longer open and answers 410; applications stop; the record of who applied stays. Postings also close themselves on the date you set.

What applicants agree to

The apply form says, above the button, that the CV will be analysed by AI against the job's criteria to help your recruiters review it and that people make the hiring decisions. The time they agreed is stored with the application. Automated screening of job applicants carries notice duties in several jurisdictions; the form is written so that the notice is given before the CV is sent, not discovered afterwards. See how the screening works for what the AI does and does not do with the CV.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is job posting really free?

Yes. Creating, publishing, listing and receiving applications cost nothing, with no limit on postings or applications. Screening an application, which reads the CV and scores it, costs one credit; you can leave applications unscreened as long as you like.

  • Will my job appear in Google for Jobs?

Every published posting page carries the JobPosting structured data Google documents as required (title, description, date posted, valid-through date, hiring organisation and location or remote eligibility), is listed in a sitemap Google is told about, and is submitted through IndexNow on publish. Whether and when Google chooses to list a given job is Google's decision; WadeCV gives it everything it asks for.

  • Can applicants apply without a WadeCV account?

Yes. The form asks for a name, an email, an optional phone number and a CV file (PDF or Word, up to 10 MB), and a consent checkbox that tells them the CV will be read by AI. No account is created for them.

  • What is "Apply with WadeCV"?

Job seekers who keep a CV on WadeCV can send it with one click, choosing which of their CVs to send. The application also appears in their own tracker on WadeCV, marked as applied. For you it is an ordinary candidate.

  • What happens to applications when I am out of credits?

They are accepted and stored as candidates marked "Needs credits". Nothing is analysed until you buy credits, and nothing is lost. Applicants are never told about your balance.

  • How is spam handled?

The form carries a field only scripts fill in (a filled one is discarded while being told it succeeded), a per-address rate limit, and a content check that the uploaded file is really a PDF or Word document. The same person applying twice to the same job with the same email is told they already applied.

  • Why does a closed job answer 410 rather than being deleted?

Its address has been handed to Google, to aggregators and to candidates. A 404 says "never existed" and search engines keep retrying; a 200 with a note keeps it advertised. A 410 says "gone" and is the signal to drop it. The posting itself is kept so the applications it received stay attached.
