WadeCV

For recruiters

AI CV screening that shows its reasoning, plus a pipeline and a free job board

WadeCV for Recruiters reads every CV against the criteria you set for the role and tells you, in words, why each candidate scored what they did. Around it is what a small hiring team needs and nothing it does not: a shared pipeline, search across everyone you have screened, video introductions by link, and a job board that Google lists. You pay per CV screened. Everything else is free.

60-second answerUpdated September 2026
WadeCV for Recruiters, in brief
  1. Describe the role once, or paste the job description and let the AI draft a scoring rubric you can edit. Every CV is then read against that rubric, not against a generic keyword list.
  2. Each candidate gets a fit score out of 100 with written strengths and gaps, plus a separate criteria score computed from the values the AI extracted, so you can see exactly why a CV ranked where it did.
  3. Applications from your free job posting, uploads and forwarded CVs all land in one pipeline with stages you control, semantic search across everyone you have screened, and a chat assistant that answers questions about your candidates.
  4. One credit screens one CV. Ten are free to start; packs start at $19 for 50. Job postings, search, the pipeline, video introductions and team seats cost nothing.
  5. The AI is told not to infer age, gender, ethnicity or any other protected characteristic, every score is explained in words, and people make the decisions. It is a screening aid, not a hiring algorithm.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set up your organisation

Create an organisation, invite colleagues as admins, recruiters or viewers, and pick up your ten free screening credits.

  2. 2

    Describe the role

Paste a job description and WadeCV drafts a rubric: the criteria that matter, how each is measured, and how much it weighs. Change any of it.

  3. 3

    Get CVs in

Upload a batch, or publish the role as a free job posting with its own Google-indexed page and let candidates apply, with a file or with a CV they keep on WadeCV.

  4. 4

Read the scores, not the CVs

Each candidate is screened in seconds: a fit score, strengths, gaps, contact details, experience summary and per-criterion values. Open the CV when a score surprises you.

  5. 5

    Run the pipeline

Move candidates through stages, leave remarks for the team, ask for a video introduction by link, and search everyone you have ever screened by meaning or by distance from the office.

What you get

Screening against your rubric
Not a keyword match. The AI reads the CV, extracts the value of each criterion you defined, and explains its fit assessment in plain language.
A pipeline your team shares
Applied, Screening, Interview, Technical Assessment, Offer, Hired, Rejected, renamed and reordered as you like. Every move is recorded with who did it and how long the candidate sat in the previous stage.
Search by meaning and by place
"Payments engineers within 50 km of Pune with more than five years" is one query. Search runs over the screened summaries, not over raw CV text.
PathFinder
A chat assistant that can search your candidates, pull up details and summarise the pool. It only sees your organisation and never argues a decision.
Free job board
Publish a role and it gets a page with JobPosting structured data, a listing on the WadeCV job board, and a real HTTP 410 when you close it so it stops being advertised.
Video introductions
Send a candidate a link; they record up to three minutes in the browser with no account. Share the recording with a hiring manager by link.
Duplicates and merges
The same person uploaded twice is found by file, email, phone or name, and merged without losing remarks or history.
Analytics
Where candidates are, how they score, how the pipeline converts, and what your team did this week. Computed from your data, not estimated.

What it deliberately is not

There is no prediction of how long a candidate will stay or how they will perform. Those models exist in other products; they are trained on past hiring decisions, which is a polite way of saying they learn past bias, and no recruiter can check them. WadeCV scores what is on the CV against what you asked for, and shows the working. Read more in how the screening works.

There are also no approval chains, requisition numbers, or per-seat licences. One organisation, four roles (owner, admin, recruiter, viewer), and a shared balance of credits.

Screen your next batch of CVs against your own criteria

Set up your organisation, describe the role, and upload the CVs. Every one is read, scored and explained. Ten screenings are free; there is no subscription.

For job seekers, it is the same WadeCV

A job posted here gets a public page on the WadeCV job board. Anyone can apply with a CV file; someone who keeps their CV on WadeCV can apply with it in one click, and the application appears in their own tracker. The screening on the employer side is the same reading of the CV that WadeCV's tailoring tool does for candidates, from the other direction.

Frequently asked questions

  • Who is WadeCV for Recruiters for?

Small hiring teams and agencies that receive more CVs than they can read carefully: a founder hiring the first ten people, a two-person recruiting team, a consultancy screening for clients. It is deliberately not an enterprise ATS with approval chains and requisition workflows.

  • How much does it cost?

You pay per CV screened, with credit packs and no subscription: 50 credits for $19, 200 for $59, 1,000 for $199, and 10 free when you create an organisation. Job postings, candidate search, the pipeline, video introductions, analytics and team seats are free. See the pricing page for the details.

  • Is this the same company as the WadeCV resume tool?

Yes. WadeCV started as a tool for job seekers to tailor their CV to a job. The recruiter side uses the same AI to read CVs from the other direction, and a job seeker can apply to a WadeCV job posting with a CV they already keep here.

  • Does the AI decide who gets hired?

No. It reads CVs and scores them against criteria you wrote, and shows its reasoning. Every score can be overridden by a recruiter, and every decision to interview, reject or hire is made by a person in your organisation. The model is instructed not to infer age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability or family status, and that instruction is tested.

  • Where is candidate data stored and who can see it?

In WadeCV's database and file storage on Google Cloud, scoped to your organisation. Only members of your organisation can see your candidates; WadeCV staff do not read them. Candidates can ask you to delete their record, and deleting a candidate removes their CV file and any video they recorded.

  • Can candidates apply without creating an account?

Yes. A job posting takes applications from a plain form: name, email, CV file and a consent checkbox that says the CV will be screened by AI. Job seekers with a WadeCV account can also apply with one click using a CV they keep here.
